Innovations and information

KBA CleanAir installations are characterised by the special KBA-design which incorporates entirely separated canisters (i.e. there are no metallic components within the hot area of the installation) and a core component for each exhaust air purification system are the robust, industrial grade dampers which are manufactured and tested in Stuttgart for continuous operation.

It is our policy to improve the installation efficiency and reliability of our exhaust air purification technology on a continual basis and to help define state of the art in this area. In order to do this, we are working in collaboration with universities, suppliers the relevant associations and are represented in numerous committees.

Numerous patents and innovations have made KBA MetalPrint one of the most prominent suppliers of exhaust air purification systems. The main focus of our research and development is in the area of the energy management. This includes:

• a patented burner system with "direct gas injection",
• a special composition of the ceramic heat exchanger XtraComb® for optimized flow guidance and maximum heat recovery,
• the XtraBalance energy management system
• online and offline BurnOut
